Rima started drawing when she was two.

Her paintbrush was her mother's lipstick and the walls her canvas!

Rima lives and paints in Ventura, California. Born in Lebanon and raised in a diverse background, Rima's work is influenced by her love of travel. Places like Mexico, Bali and Spain have been symbolic in creating Rima's intense palette of deep, rich colors.

After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Design from University of Oregon and a Masters of Education degree in Art from University of California Santa Barbara, Rima focused on painting in 2006.

Her style is influenced by the abstract expressionists who believed that non-representational painting could express spiritual and emotional truths. Rima approaches her paintings with a passionate immediacy and you are left looking at energetic expressions on canvas.  As a vocalist and piano player, music is one of the greatest inspirations for Rima. Spirituality and nature also act as points of inspiration and undercurrents in her work.

She has shown her artwork in Southern California, Singapore and Hong Kong and is proud to have collectors worldwide.

Bob will paint, from start to finish - an abstract painting, using Holbein Artist Acrylic Paints on Kilimanjaro watercolor paper, 300 lb, CP. He will show what he does in his studio: the prep time, how he paints all the way to the final varnish and signature. During the demo, Bob will explain the concept of a body of work and way it is so necessary and helpful! Included in this presentation -

Burridge’s 5 Cs… Concept, Composition, Color Combo, Continue and Commit.

Robert Burridge, a noted award-winning Industrial Designer who, after twenty-five years in the corporate world, focused his life to painting everyday. Burridge attributes his success to his education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, his stint as an adjunct professor at Cooper Union in New York City, and in 1966, his Fluxus art performances with Yoko Ono, Nam June Paik, Jim McWilliams and Charlotte Moorman. His work hangs in permanent collections of international embassies, corporate galleries and art colleges. His solo museum exhibitions received positive attention, so he was invited to exhibit his paintings at the Smithsonian Folklife Circus Arts Festival in Washington, DC.
