By creating my art I want to get into the underworld, the world of unknown, 

in a way to have a dialog with my subconscious.  

To me, the very source of what we think and every decision we make 

is based on our subconscious, without us being aware of it.  

Therefore, I work very spontaneously and as I continue 

the work reveals itself to what direction to go.

Go with the Flow - the Art of Pouring Paint

Chris Sullivan is a Signature member of Watercolor West and the current President. She is a highly motivating teacher, respected juror, and inspiring artist in both watercolor and mixed media. Chris got her degree in Art from UC Davis and studied there with Wayne Thiebaud. Chris also studied with Rex Brandt and was his teaching assistant. Chris taught watercolor painting and 2-D and 3-D mixed media techniques at Coastline College for 34 years. She currently is teaching at the OASIS Senior Center in Corona del Mar. Chris has shown her work in many galleries, museums, juried exhibitions, and the Laguna Beach Festival of Art. Chris will be demonstrating one of her favorite ways to paint in watercolor which is pouring paint.
