Chris Sullivan is a Signature member of Watercolor West and the current President. She is a highly motivating teacher, respected juror, and inspiring artist in both watercolor and mixed media. Chris got her degree in Art from UC Davis and studied there with Wayne Thiebaud. Chris also studied with Rex Brandt and was his teaching assistant. Chris taught watercolor painting and 2-D and 3-D mixed media techniques at Coastline College for 34 years. She currently is teaching at the OASIS Senior Center in Corona del Mar. Chris has shown her work in many galleries, museums, juried exhibitions, and the Laguna Beach Festival of Art. Chris will be demonstrating one of her favorite ways to paint in watercolor which is pouring paint.

Award-winning artist Nancy Anderson will be demonstrating the use of palette knives when painting with acrylics. She will share a variety of techniques that have allowed her to work quickly to capture the essence of a scene. These techniques can help an artist loosen up and have more fun in the studio and plein air.
