June Meeting

On June 13th at 7pm in the TUSD Board room we will draw or paint a still life.  There will not be a demonstrator at this meeting.  We are just getting together as a group for a fun night of painting and visiting.  Bring your supplies and a drop cloth if you are a messy painter.

May Meeting - Wendy Froshay

This month our meeting is going to be on Monday, May 7th instead of the usual second Wednesday.  Our speaker will be Wendy Froshay.  The program will be on Transfers & Textures.  The meeting will be at 7:00 as usual at the TUSD building.

April Meeting - Tom Fong

We are so lucky to have Tom Fong as the demonstrator for our meeting on April 11th starting at 7:00.  Tom is a well known watercolor artist who has been featured in many magazines, had paintings juried into  international watercolor shows and earned signature membership in Watercolor West.  He teaches at various colleges and conducts workshops teaching his unique style of painting. He is as nice as he is talented and loves to share his knowledge and this promises to be a wonderful demonstration.

We will also be having a raffle and the winner will receive Tom's demo painting.  The tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00

Scenes of Tustin Juried Competition

It's that time of year again.  The Tustin Art League and Chemers Gallery present the "Scenes of Tustin" juried exhibition.  This is a wonderful show featuring artwork depicting places in Tustin, North Tustin and Peter's Canyon.  If you are interested in participating, please read the following flyer.  To download the entry form, click on the "Scenes of Tustin" page at the top of this blog.

March Meeting

For this month's meeting we will have a pastel workshop with Victoria Templeton.  This workshop is for members only and you must RSVP by contacting Marsha at 714-544-7715 or fuzz_42@pacbell.net

The materials will be supplied by TAL but if you have your own pastels or a paper or other surface that you prefer to use, please bring them.  If you have extra pastel sets that you can share for the evening, let Marsha know when you RSVP.

February Meeting

Next Wednesday, February 8th, B.J. Wilson will present a series of slides

on: How to Create a Great Painting!  Bring a piece or two of your artwork,

BJ will group the work by the type of artist. Once you know what type

of artist you are, you can paint to your strengths or work on your weaknesses.

January Meeting

In January, we will be having our annual planning meeting on January 11th in the TUSD board room at 7:00.  Please plan to attend and bring ideas for speakers for the coming year.
