November Meeting

Our last meeting of 2015 is Wednesday, November 4th at 7:00 pm in the TUSD board room.  Come prepared to draw or paint a still life, which will be provided.  No oils please.

October Meeting

On October 14th from 7-9, Jeanette Jensen will demo her techniques using oil to paint on glass, but she says other media work too.  She has a technique she developed that she calls twin stroke.  The oils need to be mixed to a certain viscosity that will apply to any medium.  Jeannette uses old window frames and creates interesting and beautiful artwork.

September - Member's Show

Don't forget about our member's show at the Tustin Senior Center in September.  Below is the important information about the show:

Each member can enter two pieces of art work.
Entry fee is $10- whether one or two pieces are entered- cash preferred.
All entry fees are used for prizes.
The artwork must be dry and ready to hang, by wiring across the back.
No sawtooth or other hangers.

Schedule:
Tuesday, September 8th 10am to 2pm deliver your artwork
Friday, September 18th 6-8 pm Reception -Please bring finger foods
Friday, October 2, pick up your work between 9am and 5pm

 If you cannot deliver on Sept. 8th, 10-2, ask a friend to bring your
art or bring to Marsha Lindsey before the 8th.

The Tustin Senior Center reserves the right to
take down any work that is offensive.

June Meeting

For our meeting on June 10th at 7:00PM, our demo artist will be Kathy Barnes.  She will be showing us her method of painting using a palette knife.

Also, on Thursday, May 28th there will be a Paint Out at Cafe El Camion on El Camino Real and 2nd Street.  There will be two sessions;  9AM or 2PM

May Meeting and Paintout

On May 13th at 7:00 PM, Wendy Froshay will be our demonstrator.  She will be painting an abstract.

Also, On Thursday, April 30th from 9-2, there will be a paint out at the Tustin Ranch Golf Course on Tustin Ranch Road in Tustin.  There is plenty of seating at the first pond on cement pilings - not visible from the road - and public restrooms and restaurant.  We can only use the first pond, not the ones in the back of the clubhouse.

April Meeting

Our April meeting will be on Tuesday, April 14th.  Please note that it is on Tuesday, not our usual Wednesday meeting day.  We will be having a live model.  Because of space constraints, this meeting is for members only.  As usual, the meeting will begin at 7:00.

Bring your art supplies.  You can use any medium except oil.  Please let Marsha know by April 1st if you will be attending.

March Meeting

On March 11th, Gregory Gallardo will be demonstrating creating collage portraits and other art using torn magazine pages.  The meeting starts at 7:00 in the TUSD board room.

There will also be a raffle.

February Meeting

For our February meeting, we will have Ian Paul Montelongo as our speaker.  He will be painting using a credit card.

Paint Out Group

The TAL Paint Out Group will be meeting next Wednesday, January 28th, 9-4 at Katie Wheeler Library in Irvine (across from Target on Irvine Blvd).

January Meeting 2015

January 14th will be our planning meeting for the upcoming year.  Please join us and let us know what programs you would like to have for the Tustin Art League for 2015.
